My daughter Loren and I hired the VW Campervan Ordell for 4 nights in April this year and we had a fantastic time. Loren still misses Ordell now. I did have trouble with the gears to start with, it took some getting used to but I got there in the end. I found 2nd gear difficult to find and hated any islands we came to!
We strongly recommend Mother Ivey’s Bay site near Padstow it has its own lovely private beach and rock pools. On days outs we used a sat nav which seemed to take us down some tricky roads so some of the time we found our own easier routes which were more suitable to the camper.
As there were only two of us on this trip we did not bother with the awning but I would recommend it if there is more of you as it would create so much more room. All in all we had a brilliant time and we will definitely do this again maybe in the summer next year (if we get one).
