CAMPERVAN HIRE NEAR EXETER AIRPORT

VW hire near the airport

How to find us from Exeter Airport

So you’ve booked your camper, plotted your route & packed your bucket and spade. All you need to do now is make the journey to our workshop, in Okehampton to collect your van.

So how are you planning to reach us? By car? Public transport? Maybe you have flights booked to arrive in London, or Exeter?

If you are travelling by car we will happily store your car here at our workshop for you for the duration of your hire (there is no charge for this). We have lots of space for parking cars both inside the warehouse and in our courtyard, outside.

If you are planning to use public transport there are regular trains available from London Paddington to Exeter St David’s station. When you reach Exeter St David’s you can choose to take the bus to Okehampton (50 minutes), or book one of our local taxi’s to meet you at the station: a journey of 30 minutes. Steve, at CCabs, charges between £37-£40 to bring four passengers to our workshop. This is much cheaper than hailing a cab at the station.

Maybe you are arriving at an airport? If you are flying into London, you’ll need to make your way to Paddington Station and take a train to Exeter St David’s. Then either take a taxi or a bus to Okehampton. Customers flying into Exeter Airport will find that they can reach us within half an hour, by taxi. Steve at CCabs charges between approximately £40 to bring four passengers to our workshop. If you fly into Bristol the charge is approximately £135. Steve is used to collecting our customers and will hold up an O’Connors Campers sign, so you can see where he is.

If you are travelling via public transport or taxi on Bank Holidays, please do be aware that taxi fares may be slightly higher, while bus and train services will be restricted.

If you are unsure which travel plan would work for you, please do get in touch.
