a very happy birthday

I must have been mad. My wife Karen decided to hire a beautiful 1967 split screen to take my twin daughters and five friends to cornwall for the day surfing at polzeath for their 10th birthday. It turned out to be a great day. The sun was shining, and off we went. For me to drive this classic motor - well I went back twenty years remembering when VWs were a labour of love and never had a worry! When we arrived the surf was up we turned lots of heads with the splitty - I started to wish I owned her. So after a good surf, lots to eat, a play on the beach and a visit to the shop (ggrrr), we made our way home with lots of smiles in the rear view mirror. A very happy birthday.
