Had a great week with Ordell in June – picked him up on the 12th and after Pete gave us a tour of his ins and outs we were off with a full tank of Petrol and a basket of goodies. Headed to Manor Farm Caravan & Camping Site at Seaton. Learning how to Drive him was quite an experience on a friday afternoon (esp. the gear change) but we eventually reached the site without mishap and snuggled down for our first night on the \’Rock n Roll\’ Bed ! The weather was overcast but we were nice and cozy! On Sunday the 14th we headed off to see Relatives in Honiton before heading up to Little Meadow Camping & Caravan Site, Watermouth, Ilfracombe which is where the Experience Image was taken. This is a great site with fabulous views (though it\’s best to approach from the Ilfracombe direction due to a very tight turn into the driveway). This was a great drive on fairly wide but twisty roads which Ordell handled beautifully, with me enjoying every minute behind his big wheel. We put the awning up here as well to gain a bit of extra room and slept on the \’Top Deck\’ On Wednesday 17th we were on the move again to Wooda Farm Holiday Park, Poughill, Bude. A large site complete with Pub & Takeaway. I spend my working week driving trains at 100mph so it was great to amble along at a steadier pace of life getting a lot of admiration from other drivers and the obligatory Light Flash and V sign from other VW drivers 🙂 Sadly on Friday it was time to take Ordell back home to Okehampton. An Enjoyable Experience for both myself and my Wife. I would recommend this to anyone for a Fun and Different break.
