Driving a VW campervan is something we’ve both always wanted to do. We hired the bright yellow camper for our first wedding anniversary weekend in April 06 and nicknamed it ‘Anni’ for Anniversary! What a wonderful experience we had. We travelled all around North Devon visiting Barnstable, Clovelly, Minehead, Dunster Castle, Lynton and Lynmouth and only had to call Pete out once but, that was due to driver troubles not the van! Once I got the hang of driving (as it is rather similar to handling a shopping trolley with 4 dodgy wheels!) I wouldn’t let my husband Phil get a look in as I was enjoying myself so much! I did of course let him manoeuvre it 10 feet or so in one of the campsites but that was about it. He did forgive me though. As I looked so happy, smiling in the drivers seat he felt the need to take my picture, bless him!
