A massive thanks to all at O\’Connors for entrusting ol\’ Barbarossa in our little hands for the week… She* was certainly put through her paces for the week throughout Cornwall. Used as a carriage to attend a 60th birthday on the Monday and a venue for a 30th on the Friday, celebrations were a plenty… filled with lovely days out in Padstow, Bude and Penzance to name a few. Certainly a little \’getting used to\’ is needed at first, but once we got into the swing of it, her little quirks (such as the 4th gear retainer!) were very much endearing. She\’s* lovely and warm at night, the Samba windows make driving in the sunshine a fabulous pleasure and there was no shortage of friendly waves from fellow drivers throughout the county… and even the odd look of jealousy in the campsites. Thanks again to lovely people of O\’Connors… friendly and helpful… and if you ever do hire her, please enjoy the little cartoon strip in the memories book! NB. That was the work of a very bored girl whilst her boyfriend was curled up and being pathetically ill in bed L&Jx *Barbarossa… history says male.. I say all cars are female!
