Me and my boyfriend Jimmy couldn’t wait to pick up our Ordell. We’d spent hours, days, weeks chatting about it and generally getting overly excited. Hiring Ordell was an amazing experience, which will remain with us for years. Although we are now obsessed with buying one. We had a few teething problems in the first few hours – mainly down to my nervous driving and Jimmy being a backseat driver. We soon swapped over and he understood the drama and we have a six blissful days/ nights. We assumed people were over exaggerating when they talked about the ‘dreaded second gear’, but seriously it’s so hard to find!! However, once you’ve mastered the art of not panicking at busy junctions when second gear is nowhere to be found then Ordell was a dream to drive. We slept so well in her – after spending a week sleeping inside, we feel she is a girl, we could be totally wrong. We climbed into the pop up roof every night, and woke up refreshed and happy every morning. Result. We did loads of fun stuff like horse riding across Dartmoor, cliff jumping near St Leonards Cove and are even now proud owners of two wetsuits and two surf boards. Yep, we got the bug. We loved giving a over-excited wave to fellow V-Dubbers or a cheeky horn toot especially around Puttsboorough Beach and Croyde Bay… VWs galore. Thanks everyone at O’Connors we can’t wait to save up some cash to come back next year, unless we win the lottery and buy our own (wishful thinking). Thanks Jess and Jimmy
