Our experience in “I am Spartacus” was amazing. When we pulled up in O’Connor’s Campers, the girls (Megan, 14 and Amy, 11) had no idea that we were hiring Spartacus for four days. Amy and Pete both love camper vans and have always wanted to drive one. So this was a real surprise. We had told them we were looking for a petrol station and then got lost!! So as you can imagine Amy was speechless when she found out, Megan was a bit more apprehensive when she found out. It was interesting at junctions as Spartacus likes high revs so it was hard not stalling… always a successful journeys when we didn’t stall. We were meeting some friends for a few days and their girls had no idea either, and thought a plane had crash landed, when they heard Spartacus pulling up!! Oe night all the children slept in Spartacus and we slept in the awning. e all had a great time and were sad to give Spartacus back. The Hammersleys Aug 2011
