At the beginning of August we took Barbarossa all the way to Regents Park to take part in the Innocent Village Fete. Innocent have kindly invited us to attend for the last 3 years and we always have a great time. This year we took a paddling pool with us. Grown ups and kids had great fun fishing for ducks and those who caught 2 ducks got to fish in a big jar for sweeties. Needless to say this was a very very popular game with certain parties! We also launched our competition to guess the number of Cars Jammed in the Jar and nearly 3000 people entered! Read about it in my next blog. People had a great time at the fete which had all sorts of brilliant stuff going on – welly wanging, ferret racing, a farmers market, tea dancing, duck herding, tug of war, petting zoo, cake icing, live music and my favourite place, a Pimms Bar. It did rain at times during the weekend but that didn\’t dampen our great British spirit! Claire, Tim and Kate came with us and kindly worked their socks off looking after all the people who wanted to take Barbarossa away there and then! If you would like to know more about the fete visit www.innocentvillagefete.co.uk and get a gander at how we spent the weekend. The photo shows Barbarossa\’s elegant interior with the fab cake that lots of people wanted to taste! Unfortunately we were so busy during the fete we didn\’t get a chance to take photos of everyone visiting us!
