A whole new pace of life was revealed by Eddie, far more civilised, and less stressed. We (the four of us) picked him up on Monday PM and headed for Polzeath. It was a completely new driving experience, I have never had so much open road in front of me, or so many cars behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. At one stage we pulled over and another VW stoped to see if we were OK – I don\’t get that in a Toyota. We stayed at Southwinds camping park and will definitely go there again, great location and great facilities. A day trip to Padstow was the first outing – if you go there use the \”park and ride\” – and spent a great day eating icecream, pasties and walking along the coast. The next excursion was to Newquay – they should have had a park and ride – and spent the day \”surfing\”- well, getting wet and sunburned. (\”Beach Boys on the cd player on the way back to the campsite -just had to be done) The whole family loved it (we have two daughters of 15 and 17) and them being happy sleeping up in the pop up roof was quite a suprise. We were genuinely sad for the holiday to come to an end, but far sadder to have to leave Eddie. I hope you have the pleasure of knowing him, and if you do – look after him, take a tin of polish with you and just sit there polishing him, he does not need it, but I think he would like it, and he certainly deserves it!! I should also thank Pete and Zoe – Eddie was superbly equiped, spotlessley clean and totally reliable and the workings of it all were well explained. I also need to thank my elder daughter who worked out how to put the awning up; I think these things should just be intuitive but she read the manual and it worked, thank you Laura. And thank you O\’Connors – we will see you again.
