Stu’s dream has been to own an old split screen so we decided to hire one to celebrate his ‘ coming of age!’ with our two boys aged 5 and 3. Friends also hired Barbarossa and we headed away for 4 fun filled nights in convoy!
The sun shone, the kids shone and we shone too. What fun we had staying in Bude for two nights then up to the glorious beaches of North Devon with Woolocoombe and Croyde being our favourites. The boys loved sleeping in their hammocks in the pop top and we just loved the whole experience. The little touches of VW inspired plates were really appreciated and the superb weather made the 5 days fly by in a haze of sun, sand and surf.
Despite these being old vans we had no problems at all and would thoroughly recommend this to everyone with a bit of spirit! Thanks to the crew at O’Conners for FANTASTIC customer service ( and the play room for the kids and the coffee for the adults!) Or view the video version here:
