The guys at O’Connors were absolutely fantastic. Zoe has been a superstar in organizing everything from pre-arrival information, to printing us maps so we would not get lost on our way to our campsite (we didn’t! thank you, Zoe!) to even providing us with a basket of goodies to enjoy when we arrived: the blueberries and the lemonade were really appreciated!
What do you get? Well, a home on wheels, and the best of it’s kind! They have a fleet of restored Volkswagen campers that would instantly turn anyone into a hippie! The vans are in perfect working condition, with all the amenities to make your getaway in the countryside memorable.
The provide you with free gas cylinders to do your cooking, there is water available, our van even had a pull-back sunroof! We also lucked out on the weather so we could enjoy it’s full potential. Just to prove how amazing the people at O’Connors are, Paul even picked us up from the train station and drove us to the garage, saving us a ton of time.
I wholeheartedly recommend getting one of these vans and exploring the countryside – give it a try on country roads, where they belong, but keep a foot on that brake, because the paths are narrow and you never know what’s coming ’round the corner.
In short, it was pure bliss, the van was great, everything from the moment we booked til’ the end of our trip was extremely well organized thanks in many ways to the wonderful Zoe, and you would be a fool not to take these ol’ maids for a spin if ever in the area!
