After years of thinking about it Lee and I got married 31/05/08. What better way to start married life than in a 1967 VW Splitty called Kissinger? Some of our friends thought it was cool and the remainder thought we were mad, 2 whole weeks in a VW camper in England! Well, what can I say? It was the best time ever. Absolutly fantastic. We did over 800 miles, all the way down to Land\’s End and Lizard and back again. With just one technical hitch that Pete very kindly came out and sorted for us. I can\’t even begin to think of the best bits to write about. It could be the views, the bouncy seats, the cramped sleeping conditions, the quirky ventilation, meeting other VW owners as they looked on in awe and discussing the finer points over a few ciders or the fact that we took a wrong turning and ended up in the middle of Polperro where you\’re not allowed to drive. Ooops!! Lee drove pretty much all of the time with me screaming slow down…… with us flying along at 40 mph!! About half way through I decided I wanted a go so off we set across Bodmin from Jamaica Inn to Golithia Falls. I thought it was fantastic whizzing along with a big grin on my face until Lee pointed out I was only doing 20mph!!! Maybe I was better a map reading afterall. Everyone one at O\’Connors was great and made us feel welcome right from our first enquiry to when we dropped him back with a tear in our eyes. Thank you O\’Connors & Thank you Kissinger. You gave us a Honeymoon that was absolutly fantastic and that we will look back on with fond memories for many years to come. We got some fab piccies. I promise to post them soon. Cheers, Lee & Allie Cross, Dorset x
